Manchester City vs Leicester City Preview

Saturday’s Premier League action kicks off at the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City take on Leicester City.

The Citizens began the season as preseason favourites, but last night had to endure Chelsea clinching the title with victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Following back-to-back draws, Pep Guardiola’s side thumped Crystal Palace by five goals to nil last time out to tighten their grip on a top four spot and they will leapfrog Liverpool into third place if they avoid defeat here.

However, defeat would give Arsenal the opportunity to move level on points with them should they beat Stoke City in Saturday’s late kick-off.

Both top scorer Sergio Aguero and John Stones face late fitness tests ahead of the game while Ilkay Gundogan and Claudio Bravo remain sidelined.

Aguero is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 4.0 (3/1) with William Hill while Gabriel Jesus can be backed at 4.33 (10/3).

The home win is 1.29 (2/7) with Betfair, with the visitors as highly priced as the 13.0 (12/1) on offer from a variety of firms. The draw can be backed at 7.0 (6/1).

The Foxes ended a run of five winless wins in all competitions with back-to-back league wins which have lifted them to ninth place and quashed any fears that they were going to be involved in a relegation dogfight.

They could move up a place following West Brom’s defeat last night and an eighth place finish would equal their best ever finish since the inception of the Premier League – aside from last season’s heroics.

Danny Drinkwater will not play again this season, while captain Wes Morgan is out of this game and Robert Huth is a doubt with a foot problem.

Jamie Vardy is 11.0 (10/1) to open the scoring with several bookmakers ahead of 17.0 (16/1) shot Riyad Mahrez.

Despite their struggles earlier on in the campaign, the East Midlands side ran out 4-2 winners in the reverse fixture back in December while they were also victorious in last season’s corresponding game which ended 1-3.

You can back four or more goals this time around at 1.95 (19/20) with Bet Victor.
