Wednesday evening’s match at the Etihad Stadium sees champions Manchester City face bottom of the table Leicester City.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men were unable to close the gap on leaders Chelsea on Sunday afternoon as they lost to Liverpool hours before the Blues beat Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup final at Wembley.

With eleven games to play, they sit five points behind Jose Mourinho’s side who have a game in hand, incidentally against lowly Leicester.

The hosts have no injury worries, though after their disappointing performance at the weekend Pellegrini could be set to ring the changes, with Wilfried Bony, James Milner and Gael Clichy among those pushing for a recall to the starting line-up.

Top scorer Sergio Aguero is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 4.0 (3/1) with a number of firms, with Bony widely available at 5.0 (4/1).

The home win is 1.25 (1/4) across the board, with the visitors as highly priced as the 15.0 (14/1) on offer from Bet Victor. The draw is 7.0 (6/1) with Bet 365.

Nigel Pearson’s side have not played since the 2-2 draw with Everton the weekend before last, and that result brought to an end a run of five straight defeats in all competitions.

They currently sit on eighteen points, four from safety, and are second favourites to make an immediate return to the Championship behind Burnley, the side who finished second to them in the second tier last season.

The only injury worry for the Foxes is former Manchester City man Kasper Schmeichel, though he may recover from a metatarsal fracture in time to feature for the first time in almost three months.

Leonardo Ulloa is 13.0 (12/1) to open the scoring with several bookmakers, with Andrej Kramaric a 15.0 (14/1) shot with Betfair.

A Frank Lampard goal was enough to separate the sides when they met at the Walkers Stadium back in December, the first meeting in five where one side kept a clean sheet.

You can back both teams to score here at 1.91 (10/11) with William Hill, while the home win to nil is worth considering at 2.2 (6/5) with Sky Bet.
