Wednesday evening’s Premier League action from the Etihad Stadium sees title favourites Manchester City host Everton.

The hosts go in to the fixture in third place, three points behind leaders Arsenal and one behind this season’s surprise package Leicester City.

Since losing to the Gunners in their final game before Christmas, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have taken seven points from nine in the league to keep themselves well in the title race while they go in to this game having booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with victory at Norwich City on Saturday.

Captain Vincent Kompany remains sidelined along with fellow defender Eliaquim Mangala and midfield duo Samir Nasri and Fernandinho though David Silva and Yaya Toure are available despite missing out at the weekend.

Sergio Aguero is favourite to open the scoring at 4.4 (17/5) with Bet Victor ahead of Kevin De Bruyne, who is an 8.5 (15/2) chance with the same firm.

The home win is priced at 1.55 (11/20) with Bet Victor, with the visitors widely available at 6.5 (11/2). The draw can be backed at 4.75 (15/4) with 888 Sport.

The Toffee’s have won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three games and currently sit nine points of the top four while they also won their FA Cup third round tie on Saturday, beating Dagenham and Redbridge by two goals to nil.

Seamus Coleman is injured and Tom Cleverley is a doubt though Ramiro Funes Mori is available despite needing stitches in a head injury at the weekend.

Romelu Lukaku is priced at 9.0 (8/1) to get the first goal of the game with a variety of bookmakers, with Ross Barkley a 15.0 (14/1) chance with Paddy Power.

The two sides last met just eight days ago, with the Merseyside outfit running out 2-1 winners at Goodison Park in the first leg of their League Cup – their first win in six meetings with City.

You can back both teams to score this time around at 1.66 (4/6) with Betfair while the same firm offer 1.55 (11/20) for there to be at least three goals in the game.
