Wednesday evening’s game at the Etihad Stadium sees title chasing Manchester City face an Aston Villa side whose Premier League safety was secured over the weekend.

The hosts came from behind to beat Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon to briefly reclaim top spot in the table, though they were replaced by Liverpool after they drew with Crystal Palace on Monday evening.

Four points from their remaining two games will almost certainly guarantee that they will take the Premier League trophy back off rivals Manchester United, though defeat will again put Brendan Rodgers’ side in the driving seat.

City’s top scorer Sergio Aguero will miss the game after picking up a groin injury at Everton though Yaya Toure, who was substituted during the same game is available along with Jesus Navas, who has recovered from an ankle injury.

Edin Dzeko is favourite to open the scoring at 4.5 (7/2) with Ladbrokes, while Yaya Toure is a 6.0 (5/1) shot with Bet 365.

The home win is 1.18 (2/11) with Bet Victor, with Aston Villa as highly priced as the 19.0 (18/1) on offer from Bet 365, who have the draw at 9.0 (8/1).

The visitors beat Hull City 3-1 at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon, a result which combined with Norwich City’s draw with Chelsea on Sunday guaranteed that they will remain a top flight club for next season.

Gabriel Agbonlahor and Joe Bennet are struggling with respective knee and ankle problems, and could both join the clubs long list of side-lined players.

Grant Holt and Andreas Weimann, the latter fresh from bagging a brace last time out are both priced at 20.0 (19/1) to get the first goal of the game with Bet Victor.

Villa were unlikely winners when the sides met in the West Midlands back in September, though last season’s corresponding fixture ended in a high scoring victory for the hosts, who put five past Paul Lambert’s side on November 2012.

With that in mind, you may be tempted to take advantage of Coral’s offer of 2.75 (7/4) for City to score at least four times this time around.
