Man Utd starlet Scott McTominay chooses Scotland over England

Manchester United youngster Scott McTominay has decided to play for the Scotland national team, according to BBC Sport.

The 21-year-old has impressed at Old Trafford this season, making 15 competitive appearances, but he has yet to play on the international stage.

Even though England manager Gareth Southgate was due to meet McTominay on Friday, the youngster decided to skip the meeting having opted to play for Scotland.

The central midfielder had met with Scotland boss Alex McLeish on Thursday and opted to represent the country of his father on international stage.

McTominay has been with Manchester United since the age of five and he has been likened to former Red Devils and Scotland midfielder Darren Fletcher for his style of play.

The youngster signed a new deal until June 2021 back in October and he seems to have a bright future ahead of him.
