Dejan LovrenPremier League giants Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of signing Dejan Lovren and Divock Origi, according to BBC Sport.

The Reds are believed to have agreed a £10 million fee for the Lille forward, with the player expected to sign a long-term deal at Anfield in the coming days.

At the same time, Liverpool officials have returned with a new proposal for Southampton’s Dejan Lovren after having a £20 million bid rejected earlier.

While the Saints are desperate to hold on to the Croatian defender after seeing a number of star players leave, the player himself has asked to be allowed to join the Reds.

Liverpool are also closing in on QPR striker Loic Remy and having already recruited Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic, they seem to have big ambitions for the upcoming season.

After narrowly missing out on the Premier League trophy last term, Brendan Rodgers’ charges are no less than 11.00 (10/1) to make things right this season.

For the time being, Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez is the only high-profile player to have left Anfield, although few more are expected to follow.
