Saturday afternoon’s game at Anfield sees an inconsistent Liverpool side host a resurgent West Bromwich Albion, fresh from two straight victories.

Brendan Rodgers side have taken just one point from their last three games, and go into the weekend on the back of Wednesday evening’s 1-0 Champions League group stage defeat to Swiss champions FC Basel.

They currently sit in fourteenth place in the league with just seven points – a tally which leaves them nine behind leaders Chelsea even at this early juncture.

Spanish midfielder Suso has been ruled out four two months, and joins an injury list that also includes Emre Can, Joe Allen, Mamadou Sakho, Jon Flanagan and Glen Johnson while Daniel Sturridge, who was left out of the England squad for the forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers, faces a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Sturridge is 4.5 (7/2) to open the scoring with Paddy Power, with Mario Balotelli a 5.0 (4/1) chance with the same firm.

Liverpool are odds on favourites to win at the widely available price of 1.44 (4/9), with the visitors as highly priced as the 8.5 (15/2) on offer from William Hill. The draw is a 5.0 (4/1) chance with Bet Victor.

Impressive back to back wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley have seen the Alan Irvine’s men climb into the top half of the table having been joint bottom just a fortnight ago.

It is also the first time since April 2012 the Baggies have kept consecutive clean sheets, largely down to the centre-back partnership of Craig Dawson and new signing Joleon Lescott.

Fellow defenders Sebastien Pocognoli and Chris Baird are both set to be available, though forward duo Victor Anichebe and Brown Aide are both out for a fortnight.

Top scorer Saido Berahino is 15.0 (14/1) to get the first goal of the game with Bet 365 with Chris Brunt a 29.0 (28/1) chance with Stan James.

Both sides have won two of the last five meetings, with both scoring in three of the last four clashes and Bet Victor offer 1.8 (4/5) for them to do so this time around.
