Premier League

Saturday’s Premier League action concludes at Anfield where Liverpool take on Watford.

The Reds saw their unbeaten run halted by second place Manchester United last time out though if they don’t lose here they will leapfrog Tottenham Hotspur into third.

Jurgen Klopp’s side actually place twice before any of their top four rivals so they could be in second place by the time their North West rivals play Swansea City in two weeks time.

Captain Jordan Henderson may return after he failed to come off the bench at Old Trafford while Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are both pushing for recalls in the absence of Nathaniel Clyne.

Top scorer Mo Salah, who’s quest for the Golden Boot was given a boost by a recent injury to Harry Kane, is favourite to open the scoring at 3.7 (27/10) with Unibet with Roberto Firmino is a 4.33 (10/3) chance with several firms.

The home win is widely available at 1.2 (1/5) with the visitors as highly priced as the 18.0 (17/1) chance with Betfair, who have the draw at 8.0 (7/1).

After back-to-back 1-0 home wins Watford were thumped 3-0 by Arsenal last time out – a result that left them in tenth place.

A return to winning ways here would see them rise one place and move to within four points of seventh place, the spot which may be good enough to earn European qualification for next season depending on the outcome of other competitions.

Craig Cathcart could feature after recovering from a hip problem though Gerard Deulofeu, Nathaniel Chalobah, Younes Kaboul, Isaac Success and Tom Cleverley remain out.

Troy Deeney, who missed a penalty at the Emirates Stadium is 14.0 (13/1) to get the first goal of the game with Unibet ahead of 17.0 (16/1) chance Richarlison.

The two sides played out a 3-3 draw at Vicarage Road on the opening weekend of the season while last season’s corresponding fixture also saw a glut of goals with the Merseysiders running out 6-1 winners.

You can bet on their being over 4.5 goals this time around at 3.6 (13/5) with Betfair.
