Arguably the Premier League’s game of the weekend, if not the season takes place at Anfield on Sunday afternoon as leaders Liverpool face title favourites Manchester City.

Both sides have their destiny in their own hands, with each knowing that a run of victories until the end of the campaign will clinch the championship, so the result of this game will go a long way to helping decide who will take the trophy from Manchester United.

The hosts go in to the game on the back of a fourteen game unbeaten league run, in which they have won the last nine culminating in last weekend’s win at West Ham United.

Manager Brendan Rodgers must decide whether to stick with Mamadou Sakho at centre-back, or recall Daniel Agger who has recovered from a knee problem.

Jose Enrique is definitely out though Joe Allen could be included should Rodgers decide to include an extra man in midfield.

Top scorer Luis Suarez is favourite to open the scoring at 6.0 (5/1) with a variety of firms, with Daniel Sturridge widely available at 6.5 (11/2).

The Reds are favourites to take all three points at 2.5 (6/4) with William Hill, with City a 3.7 (27/10) shot with Bet 365. The draw is a 2.95 (37/19) shot with 888 Sport.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men are unbeaten in five, and beat Southampton last time out to stay within four points of Liverpool with two games in hand.

Top scorer Sergio Aguero is set to return after missing those last five games with a hamstring injury, while Yaya Toure should feature after recovering from a knock though Matija Nastasic remains out with a knee problem.

Aguero is 6.0 (5/1) with Bet Victor to get the first goal of the game, with Toure an 8.5 (15/2) chance with the same firm.

Three of the past four meetings between the sides have finished 2-2, so you may be tempted to back that outcome again at a price of 13.0 (12/1) with Bet Victor while Coral offer 2.38 (11/8) for there to be four or more goals in the game.
