Saturday’s match at Anfield sees Liverpool take on Premier League leaders Leicester City.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are without a win in four games in all competitions – a run that has seen them take just one point from the last nine available to them in the league.

They begin the weekend just five points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who currently occupy the final Champions League qualification spot though just six points separate the sides sitting from fourth to eleventh.

Centre-back Martin Skrtel misses out for the first time this season after injuring his hamstring so fit-again Dejan Lovren is expected to come in for the Slovakia international while goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is also pushing for a return.

Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke can each be backed at 5.5 (9/2) to open the scoring, with Divock Origi a 7.5 (13/2) chance with Paddy Power.

The home win is widely available at 1.95 (19/20) with the visitors as highly priced as the 4.05 (58/19) on offer from 888 Sport, who have the draw at 3.9 (29/10).

Claudio Ranieri’s men assured themselves top spot for Christmas with their impressive 3-2 win at Everton – a result that extended their unbeaten league run to ten games.

Anything other than a win here will give Arsenal the opportunity to move into top spot when they travel to Southampton later in the day.

Robert Huth is back from suspension and is likely to replace Marcin Wasilewski in defence though Danny Drinkwater and Jeffrey Schlupp both miss out.

Jamie Vardy is 7.5 (13/2) to get the first goal of the game with Ladbrokes, ahead of Riyad Mahrez who can be backed at 9.0 (8/1) with a number of firms.

Both of last season’s meetings between the sides featured four goals, with the pair playing out a 2-2 draw on Merseyside on New Year’s Day a month after the Reds took the points from the clash at the King Power Stadium a month earlier.

You may be tempted to back over 3.5 goals this time around at 2.7 (17/10) with Bet Victor while Bet 365 offer 1.62 (8/13) for both teams to score.
