Monday night’s Premier League action comes from the King Power Stadium where leaders Leicester City take on relegation threatened Newcastle United.

A win for Claudio Ranieri’s men would see them reopen a five point gap at the summit after Tottenham Hotspur beat lowly Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes have lost just once in front of their own fans this season, and will be keen to extend that run as they close in on what would be the most surprising title win in the division’s history.

A lack of injuries has helped the East Midland’s outfit in no small part, and Matty James remains their only absentee.

Jamie Vardy is favourite to open the scoring with what would be his twentieth goal of the campaign and he can be backed at 5.0 (4/1) with Coral, ahead of Riyad Mahrez who is a 7.0 (6/1) chance with Bet 365.

The home win is 1.6 (3/5) with Betfred, with the visitors widely available at 6.5 (11/2). The draw can be backed at 4.45 (38/11) with 888 Sport.

Newcastle replaced Steve McClaren with Rafael Benitez last week, and will be hoping the former Liverpool and Real Madrid boss will be able to steer them to safety,

The North East side currently sit second bottom of the league, a point from safety though they have played a game less than neighbours Sunderland and two less than the three other sides in the bottom five.

Paul Dummet will miss the game with a hamstring problem while fellow defender Fabricio Collocini and winger Andros Townsend will both be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Aleksander Mitrovic is 10.0 (9/1) to get the first goal of the game with a number of firms, ahead of 11.0 (10/1) chance Ayoze Perez.

Leicester ran out 3-0 winners when the sides met at St James’s Park back in November while last season’s corresponding fixture ended with the same scoreline.

You can back the table toppers to score three or more this time around at 3.0 (2/1) with Sky Bet.
