La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Juventus are on the verge of signing German midfielder Emre Can from Liverpool.
The Italian champions decided to make a move on the 23-year-old footballer, who has just another year left on his contract.
While Liverpool are holding out for €30 million, Juventus have now offered €25 million, and they hope to wrap up the deal in the coming days.
The Bianconeri were also looking at Blaise Matuidi and Steven N’Zonzi, but ultimately decided to go with Emre Can.
The highly rated footballer joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen three years ago and went on to make 89 Premier League appearances for the club.
His suitors Juventus have been made 8/11 favourites to defend the Serie A trophy despite losing key defender Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan.
