Fulham vs Liverpool preview

Fulham sit dangerously close to the bottom three after winning just one of their last six games, meaning that the Cottagers could really use a victory in this clash.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are slowly closing the gap behind their top 4 rivals and the Reds are eager to continue the six-match unbeaten run.

After spending several years fighting for their lives, Fulham managed to establish themselves as genuine mid table side over the last few seasons and they even managed to ensure European football.

However, the qualification to Europa League group stages seems to have had a negative effect on team’s domestic performances and that is one of the reasons why the Cottagers now sit really close to the bottom of the standings.

Fulham not only failed to win any of their last four games, but they scored just two goals during that period, so odds of 2.75 (7/4) offered by Ladbrokes on the hosts not to score do look tempting.

Damien Duff remains a doubt with a calf injury, but Moussa Dembele, Bryan Ruiz and Clint Dempsey should all return.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Schwarzer – Baird, Hangeland, Senderos, Riise – Dempsey, Murphy, Etuhu, Ruiz – Zamora, Dembele.

Following a somewhat slow start to the season, Liverpool have found some consistency, but they still need to work hard if they want to remain in contention for a top 4 finish.

The Reds are currently on a six-match unbeaten run, with double victory over Chelsea certainly the highlight of their season and they are brimming with confidence before the Fulham clash.

Seeing that Liverpool have won last four away games in all competitions, it is little wonder that they are 2.20 (6/5) with Ladbrokes to claim maximum points at Craven Cottage.

Lucas Leiva is likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury, whereas Steven Gerrard continues to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Reina – Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique – Kuyt, Henderson, Adam, Downing – Suarez, Bellamy.
