Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia is slowly recovering from a broken ankle and Sir Alex Ferguson expects him back in training in five or six weeks.

Given the severity of the player’s injury, Sir Alex Ferguson says he will not rush Valencia back into action.

“He’s making the progress exactly the way we thought. It’s looking like the end of February or beginning of March,” Ferguson told the official club website.

“He should be back training in five to six weeks’ time, but given the extent of the injury we’ll give him more time to get into the full flow of things.”

Manchester United currently lead the race in the Premier League, two points clear of their local rivals and with two games in hand, meaning there is a great value in odds of 2.10 (11/10) offered by Sports Interaction on United to win the Premiership.
