BBC Sports understands that Premier League side Everton are set to complete the signing of Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru from KAS Eupen.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season last term as he bagged 22 league goals, sparking interest from Arsenal and West Ham United, among other clubs.

Nevertheless, Everton appear to have won the chase for his signature having had a £7 million offer accepted by KAS Eupen.

As a result, Onyekuru underwent a medical in Liverpool on Monday and he will soon put pen to paper on a long-term deal.

Reports suggest that the forward will immediately joined Belgian giants Anderlecht on a season-long loan as the Toffees do not think the youngster is quite ready for Premier League action.

Everton have seriously reinforced their ranks this summer, with Davy Klaassen and Jordan Pickford earlier arriving at Goodison Park.
