The Guardian is reporting that Everton are close to agreeing a deal for Swansea captain Ashley Williams.
The Toffees appear set to cash in on talented defender John Stones and they believe the Wales captain would be a very good replacement for the youngster.
According to The Guardian, a £10 million bid should persuade the Swans to sell their prized asset, and Everton are expected to close the deal in the coming days.
Ashley Williams has spent last eight years at Liberty Stadium and he was linked with quite a few top Premier League clubs.
New Everton manager Ronald Koeman is believed to be a keen admirer of the 31-year-old defender, who has made a total of 181 Premier League appearances for Swansea.
