Darren BentExperienced striker Darren Bent has revealed that he plans to quit Aston Villa at the end of the current campaign.

The 29-year-old has lost his place in the side with the arrival of Christian Benteke and went on to make just 7 Premier League starts this season.

Bent, who arrived in a £24 million deal from Sunderland, has made it clear that he wants to leave the Villans in search of first team football.

“It is about playing and, at my age, I can’t have another season like this one,” he told the Daily Star.

“Time is running out. I’m not really one of these guys who wants to sit there, not do anything and get paid.”

Martin Jol is believed to be readying summer bid for his services, so no wonder Fulham are 3.00 (2/1) favourites with BetVictor to sign Bent in the summer transfer window.

Stoke and Newcastle are 9.00 (8/1) and 11.00 (10/1) respectively, whereas newly promoted Cardiff is 15.00 (14/1) to take a gamble with the experienced forward.
