Daniel SturridgeThe injury nightmare continues for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, who is again set for a spell on the sidelines.

The England star had only returned into action after a three-month injury lay-off, but he is now set to miss at least a couple of weeks.

Sturridge suffered a hamstring problem in weekend’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle United, and it has now been revealed that he has a strain.

This means that the 26-year-old is likely to miss games against Sion, West Bromwich and Watford, but there is a chance he will be back for the busy Christmas schedule.

Sturridge had scored two goals in three matches since returning from his previous injury, and his absence is the last thing Jurgen Klopp needs at the moment.

The Sunday’s defeat to Newcastle ended a run of four straight wins for the Reds, who are now priced at 2.30 (13/10) to see off Sion in midweek.
