Dani AlvesBarcelona star Daniel Alves has made it clear that he wants to move to English Premier League in the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old has another year left on his deal at Camp Nou and even though the club officials are ready to offer him a two-year extension, he is unlikely to accept it.

Alves has revealed that he will be leaving the Catalans in the summer, and almost certainly for a move to England.

“I am moving to England next year,” the Brazilian told O Globo newspaper. “I am going to play in the home of football. This will be my last year at Barcelona.”

Manchester United and Liverpool are believed to be leading the chase for the highly rated defender, who will be available on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.

Before he leaves the Catalans after seven years, the Brazilian will want to win the La Liga trophy one more time and he is 1.91 (10/11) to succeed in his quest.
