Sunday afternoon’s Premier League action from Selhurt Park sees Crystal Palace face bottom of the table Stoke City.

The Eagles secured their first win of the season last time out beating Middlesbrough by two goals to one, with record signing Christian Benteke getting the first goal of the game.

That result put them onto four points with a clutch of other sides and victory here could see them move into the top eight should other results fall in their favour.

Manager Alan Pardew will be unable to call upon defender Pape Souare who will be out for around six months after breaking a thigh bone in a car accident.

Yohan Cabaye is doubtful with a groin strain though Bakary Sakho and Connor Wickham could both return after they both returned to fitness.

Wickham is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 7.0 (6/1) with a number of bookmakers, with Christian Benteke a 7.5 (13/2) chance with Bet Victor.

The home win is priced at 2.1 (11/10) with Bet Victor with the visitors as highly priced as the 4.15 (41/13) on offer from 888 Sport. The draw can be backed at 3.5 (5/2) with Betfred.

The Potters are propping up the rest of the division after taking just one point from their opening four games, and go into this fixture on the back of being thumped 4-0 at Tottenham Hotspur.

The have conceded ten goals so far this season though could climb out of the drop zone if they win here and other results fall in their favour.

Glen Johnson could make his first appearance since February after recovering from a knee injury with Mame Biram Diouf also available though Xherdan Shaqiri is out.

Wilfried Bony 8.5 (15/2) to open the scoring with Bet 365 with Peter Crouch a 10.0 (9/1) chance with the same firm.

Palace are unbeaten in their last six meetings with Stoke, winning each of the last four by a single goal.

That run includes two victories at Selhurst Park in already this year with the Eagles emerging victorious in both last season’s corresponding league game as well as an FA Cup fourth round triumph back in January.

You can back the hosts winning by a single goal this time around at 3.75 (11/4) with several firms.
