Sunday’s Premier League action kicks off at Selhurst Park where Crystal Palace face Arsenal.

Palace kicked off the new campaign in very much the same vein that they finished the last, taking maximum points from their trip to newly promoted Norwich City.

Julian Speroni, Frazier Campbell, Marouane Chamakh and Kwesi Appiah remain sidelined, though with no fresh injury concerns manager Alan Pardew has so could well field an unchanged side.

Patrick Bamford, who could make his Eagles debut, is 10.0 (9/1) to open the scoring with a Paddy Power ahead of fellow summer signing Yohan Cabaye, who is priced at 19.0 (18/1) with the same firm.

The home win is priced at a generous 5.25 (17/4) with Bet 365, with the visitors favourites at 1.8 (4/5) with Coral. The draw is a 4.0 (3/1) chance with Betfred.

Arsene Wenger’s side suffered a disappointing defeat at home to West Ham United last weekend, and they will be looking for an immediate response with many speaking of them as potential title contenders this time around.

Alexis Sanchez is set to return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench last time out and Hector Bellerin could also feature after recovering from a thigh strain though Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck remain unavailable.

Olivier Giroud is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 5.5 (9/2) with a number of firms, ahead of 6.5 (11/2) chance Sanchez.

The Gunners won both of last season’s meetings between the sides by two goals to one, and they have lost just once to Palace in over thirty-five years.

That one victory by the Eagles came in the Premier League at Higbury on October 1st 1994 with John Salako scoring twice, and the former winger is set to be offered a permanent role as first-team coach with the club in the next few days.

You can back both teams to score here at a widely available price of 1.8 (4/5) while the home win not to nil is worth considering at 10.0 (9/1) with Betfair.
