Diego Costa netted the first Premier League hat-trick of the 2014/15 campaign at the weekend as league leaders Chelsea came from behind to beat Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.

The Spain international has now scored in his first four appearances in the Premier League – a feat achieved only previously achieved by Newcastle United’s Micky Quinn in 1992, though he managed a mere six to Costa’s seven.
He is now the clear favourite to finish the season as the top scorer in the English top flight, with Paddy Power offering the best price of 2.1 (11/10), while Bet Victor offer 2.75 (7/4) for him to do so alongside Chelsea winning the league.

Alternatively, given the barn-storming way in which the former Atletico Madrid man has begun the campaign, you may be tempted to back him to surpass the current record of thirty-one goals in a thirty-eight game season, held jointly by Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and most recently Luis Suarez.

Bet Victor over 4.33 (10/30) for him to equal that tally, while he is a 5.0 (4/1) shot to hit the back of the net at least thirty-three times.

Sergio Aguero also scored at the weekend, grabbing a late equaliser to give Manchester City a share of the spoils from their trip to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

The Argentinian is one of a number of players currently joint second on the list of top scorers with three, and can be backed at 6.0 (5/1) with a number of firms with the Aguero/Man City double an 11.0 (10/1) chance with Bet Victor.

Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge, who is currently side-lined with a thigh injury, has just one goal so far this season but is third in the market at 15.0 (14/1) with Bet Victor, ahead of Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao, who are 17.0 (16/1) and 21.0 (20/1) with the same firm respectively.

Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal has two league goals already, and can be backed at 26.0 (25/1), with former Gunner and two-time Golden Boot winner Robin van Persie of Manchester United available at the same price, while Everton’s Romelu Lukaku is priced at 34.0 (33/1).
