Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final sees the top two sides in the Premier League – Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur face off at Wembley.

Antonio Conte’s side have soared into the last four of the competition having seen off lower league opposition in Peterborough United, Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers in rounds three, four and five respectively before beating Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in the quarter finals last month.

However, they go into the game on the back of a defeat to the Red Devils in what was only their second loss since Spurs beat them at White Hart Lane back in their first match of this calendar year.

Gary Cahill is unlikely to feature due to being struck down with gastroenteritis so club captain John Terry, who announced that he is calling time on his Chelsea career in the summer could earn a recall while Thibaut Courtois and Marcos Alonso are both fit and likely to feature.

Diego Costa is widely available at 5.5 (9/2) to open the scoring with what would be his first Blues’ goal in seven games with Eden Hazard next in the market at 7.5 (13/2).

Chelsea are 2.75 (7/4) to win the match inside ninety minutes, with Tottenham slight underdogs in the eyes of some firms who have them at 2.8 (9/5). The draw can be backed at 3.4 (12/5).

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in fine form having won nine of their last ten matches in all competitions while there road to Wembley saw them beat Aston Villa, Wycombe Wanderers, Fulham and Millwall.

Hugo Lloris is likely to start in goal as regular FA Cup keeper Michel Vorm is out with a knee injury while Danny Rose is not expected to be rushed back despite recently returning to training.

Harry Kane is 5.5 (9/2) to get the first goal of the game with Dele Alli can be found at 7.5 (13/2) with most bookmakers.

There is nothing between the sides over the past six meetings with Chelsea and Spurs each winning two a piece with the other two games ending all square though it was the Blues who were victorious the last time they met in this competition, to the tune of a 5-1 win at this stage five years ago.

With one hundred and seventy-nine scored between them already so far this season you might fancy goals here and Betfair offer 3.9 (29/10) for there to be over 3.5 inside ninety minutes.
