The race for the 2020/21 FA Cup comes to an on Saturday evening as Chelsea and Leicester City clash in the final at Wembley Stadium.

The two sides will of course being aiming to add silverware to a potential top-four finish come the end of the campaign.

Heading into the match, it is the Londoners who of course hold the historical advantage. They have won the FA Cup on eight separate occasions in their history and have been runners-up a further six times. Their inclusion in the final is also no surprise either having reached that stage in four out of the last five season – last winning the trophy in 2018 under Antonio Conte.

Meanwhile, Leicester will be aiming to win the FA Cup for the first time in their history having reached the final on four occasions, the last being in 1969.

As it stands, Thomas Tuchel’s men are the more fancied to claim the trophy on Saturday at a price of 1/2 with William Hill. Meanwhile, the Foxes can be backed at 6/4.

Each side will certainly be keen to extend their impressive defensive records in the competition as they tackle the final. Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes have claimed three clean sheets thus far against Stoke City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton, whilst only conceding two goals. Meanwhile, Chelsea themselves have only shipped one goal on route to the final. The Blues to win to nil sits at a price of 17/10 with Betfair, whilst Leicester are sitting at 15/2 to achieve the same.

Whilst the defences will of course be under the microscope, the main focus will no doubt be the frontlines of each side. Kelechi Iheanacho has been in excellent form for Leicester in the FA Cup this season with four goals in just five appearances. Having struck on 18 occasions in all competitions this season, the Nigerian can be backed at a price of 11/2 with Paddy Power to score first at Wembley. Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham is the surprise favourite to net first for Chelsea with the bookies at odds of 7/2.

Regarding injuries, Rodgers will hope to be able to call on the services of Jonny Evans. The centre-back has been ruled out of the last two Premier League games. Should he miss out, he will join long-term absentees Harvey Barnes and James Justin on the sidelines.

Tuchel will also hope to be boosted with the returns of a few key players. Mateo Kovacic and Andreas Christensen are edging close to their respective returns. However, midfielder N’Golo Kante could be a slight doubt for the clash against his former club having been missing from the Chelsea squad for Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
