Arguably the game of the weekend in the English top flight takes place at Stamford Bridge where leaders Chelsea take on the league’s only other unbeaten side, Arsenal.

Jose Mourinho’s men go in to this game on the back of Tuesday evening’s narrow Champions League win over Sporting, whilst in the league they have taken sixteen points from eighteen available so far.

Top scorer Diego Costa, who has already hit eight goals for his new club, is expected to play for what would be a third match in nine days despite ongoing concerns over a hamstring injury though fellow striker Didier Drogba is out with an ankle problem and Ramires has a groin strain.

Costa is unsurprisingly favourite to get the first goal of the game at 4.5 (7/2) with Paddy Power, with ex-Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas a 10.0 (9/1) shot with the same firm.

The home win is 1.7 (7/10) with a variety of firms, with the visitors widely available at 5.5 (9/2). The draw can be backed at 4.2 (16/5) with Bet Victor.

New signing Danny Welbeck inspired the Gunners to a 4-1 Champions League win over Galatasaray on Wednesday evening, having salvaged a point from the North London derby four days earlier.

They began the weekend in fourth place in the Premier League with ten points – six behind their opponents with six games played.

Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta are both out with respective hamstring and calf injuries while fellow midfielder Abou Diaby has a hip problem and will not be risked.

Mathieu Debuchy, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott are still some way off a first team return, though Jack Wilshere and Nacho Monreal could both feature.

Man of the moment Welbeck is 9.5 (17/2) to open the scoring with Bet 365, with Alexis Sanchez a 10.0 (9/1) chance with Paddy Power.

Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in their last three games against Arsene Wenger’s side, and they can be backed at 2.55 (31/20) with Coral to do this time around while the home win to nil a 3.1 (21/10) chance with Sky Bet.
