Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that he is set to hold talks with Chelsea over star striker Edinson Cavani.
The Blues are believed to be keen on signing the Uruguayan in the summer transfer window, with Jose Mourinho a big fan of the highly rated forward.
Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurrentiis has now suggested that Chelsea are indeed leading the race for Cavani.
“There is interest from Chelsea in Cavani, they’ll call me in the next few hours,” the movie mogul told Radio Marte.
“I’ll be delighted if he stays, but if he leaves then he will be adequately replaced.”
Oddly enough, Chelsea can still be backed at 2.50 (3/2) at SkyBet to sign Cavani in the summer transfer window, while Real Madrid and Manchester City are both priced at 3.25 (9/4).
