Pep GuardiolaChelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to pull all the stops to lure Pep Guardiola to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail.

The German coach recently announced his plans to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, with Carlo Ancelotti set to succeed him at Allianz Arena.

And while Manchester City were believed to be the favourites for his signature, it appears that Chelsea have emerged as another serious candidate.

Namely, the Blues owner Roman Abramovich is ready to match Guardiola’s salary, regardless of the figure, while also allocating significant funds for the Spaniard to overhaul the squad.

Having just sacked Jose Mourinho, Chelsea need to make the right appointment next summer, with Guus Hiddink acting as an interim manager at the moment.

The Blues currently sit 11 points behind Champions League positions and are available at 8.00 (7/1) to clinch the top 4 finish after all.
