Spanish La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have announced the signing of Swedish striker John Guidetti from Manchester City.
The Sky Blues did well to win the chase for the forward’s signature seeing as he was on the radar of quite a few top sides.
Guidetti joins Celta on a free transfer following a disappointing spell with Manchester City, signing a five-year deal.
The Swedish forward showed a great deal of potential during loan stints with Feyenoord and Celtic, and he finally gets a chance to secure regular playing time.
Guidetti is the club’s second major signing of the summer, with full-back Daniel Wass having previously joined from Evian.
The 23-year-old was in fine form last season, having managed 15 goals and 12 assists in 35 competitive outings for Celtic.
