Premier League

Sunday’s Premier League begins at the Amex Stadium where Brighton and Hove Albion take on Southampton.

The hosts are in good form having taken seven points from the last twelve points available with their latest victory coming at West Ham United last time out and another win here would see them leapfrog their opponents.

Steve Sidwell is once again set to miss out with a back injury though Tomer Hemed will be available after serving a suspension, though he may have to settle for a place on the substitutes bench after Glenn Murray’s double at the London Stadium.

Murray is priced at 7.5 (13/2) to get the first goal of the game with Betfred, with Pascal Gross an 11.0 (10/1) chance with Bet 365.

The home win is 3.3 (23/10) with a number of firms with the visitors favourites at 2.5 (6/4) with Betfair. The draw can be backed at 3.25 (9/4) with Betfred.

Manuel Pellegrino’s side beat West Bromwich Albion by a goal to nil last time out though that was only there second win since in seven league outings, and they have scored just five goals in that run.

However, a win here could see them end the weekend in as high as fifth place should other results fall in their favour.

Mario Lemina will miss the game after picking up an ankle injury in training and Jeremy Pied remains out with a groin problem though Sofiane Boufal could be handed a start after scoring the winner against the Baggies a week ago.

Top scorer Manolo Gabbiadini is a 7.0 (6/1) shot to open the scoring while Charlie Austin can be backed at the same price with Betfred.

The two south sides last met whilst playing in the Championship with each fixture during the 2011/12 campaign ending in 3-0 home victories.

You can back that outcome this time around at a generous 41.0 (40/1) with several bookmakers while Betfair offer 2.55 (31/20) for there simply to be over 2.5 goals in the game.

Alternatively, you can bet on both teams to score at 2.12 (19/17) with Unibet.
