SanchezBavarian giants have started making plans for life after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

Dutch and French wingers have endured difficult time with a series of injuries and their respective careers with Bayern Munich are slowly drawing to a close.

Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman have both been given extended playing time in the absence of Robben and Ribery, but Bayern Munich officials are preparing another big-name addition to their squad that will increase competition for places at wings.

According to AS Chile, Bayern Munich’s soon-to-be boss Carlo Ancelotti has put Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez on top of his wish list and Bavarians are ready to swoop in with an offer worth €40 million for the Chilean forward.

Sanchez is contracted to Arsenal until 2018 and Gunners have already tried to tie down their man with a new long-term deal with the rumours suggesting he could be offered a significant pay rise from £130,000 to £180,000 a week if he is to stay at the Emirates.

The 27-year-old Chilean international is yet to accept the offer and is thought to be considering his options.

Bayern Munich would present the Chilean with the new challenge and opportunity to fight for trophies both domestically and internationally.

Bavarians have dispatched Benfica on their way to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals and are firm favourites at the odds of 2.5 (6/4) @PaddyPower to be crowned European champions this season.

Opportunity to play for a high-profile club such as Bayern Munich might prove to be too good to turn down for Alexis Sanchez, who would be joined by his compatriot Arturo Vidal at the Allianz Arena.

Alexis Sanchez has also been targeted by Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, who are allegedly ready to get in the race for the signature of Arsenal key man.
