The latest round of Premier League fixtures rounds off at Villa Park on Monday evening as Aston Villa face Arsenal.

The home side go in to the game in eleventh place, though they are just five points above the relegation zone having lost four of their last six league games.

Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker are both injury doubts for Paul Lambert with calf and hamstring problems respectively, though Brad Guzan and Gabriel Agbonlahor have overcome minor injuries and Ciaran Clark is back from suspension.

Christian Benteke, who hasn’t scored since mid-September, is 9.0 (8/1) with Bet Victor to open the scoring, with Agbonlahor a 12.0 (11/1) shot with the same firm.

Villa are as highly priced as the 7.0 (6/1) on offer from Bet Victor to take all three points, with Arsenal 1.53 (8/15) with most firms. The draw is 4.5 (7/2) with Bet 365.

Arsenal have slipped to third place following the weekend’s results, which saw every side that played from the top seven of the division winning.

Three points will see them leapfrog both Chelsea and Manchester City back into top spot, and secure a fourth straight league win for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Olivier Giroud is in line for a return to the Gunners’ starting line-up after recovering from illness and injury, as is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who hasn’t played since the home defeat to Villa on the opening day of the season.

Thomas Vemaelen is doubtful with a knee injury, while Theo Walcott, Yaya Sanogo, Aaron Ramsey, Abou Diaby and Nicklas Bendtner are all out.

Giroud is favourite to get the first goal of the game at 6.0 (5/1) with Paddy Power, with Lukas Podolski a 6.5 (11/2) chance with the same firm.

The North London side have lost just twice in the league since that loss to Villa back in August, and that result was only the third time they have lost to the Midlanders in almost fifteen years.

Villa have failed to score in nine of their league matches this season, and no side has kept more clean sheets in the division than Arsenal, so you may be tempted to take advantage of Sky Bet’s offer of 2.75 (7/4) for an away win to nil.
