Arturo Vidal nears Manchester United switch

Arturo VidalSeveral media outlets are reporting that Manchester United are on the verge of signing Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal from Juventus.

The Red Devils have signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw while awaiting the arrival of new boss Louis van Gaal and the summer recruitment looks set to continue.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Juventus over the signing of midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Even the player himself has moved to confirm he is excited by the prospect of joining the Red Devils, who are now 1.17 (1/6) with SkyBet to sign the Chilean this summer.

“I’m very calm, but anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Vidal was quoted as saying.

Arturo Vidal has been one of Juventus’ star performers ever since he joined from Bayer Leverkusen, having managed 28 goals and 18 assists in 96 Serie A matches, helping the club win three straight league trophies in a row.

The 27-year-old recovered from a knee injury to take part at the 2014 World Cup, starting three games for La Roja as they reached the Last 16 stage.
