Tuesday evening’s game at the Emirates sees Arsenal face Swansea City, with both sides desperate for points at opposite ends of the table.

The Gunners were thumped 6-0 by Chelsea Saturday lunchtime to slip seven points behind the Premier League leaders, while Manchester City leapfrogged them into third place with their victory over Fulham.

Anything other than victory here would further dent their hopes of securing a first league title in a decade, with City playing one of their games in hand this evening and Liverpool hosting struggling Sunderland tomorrow.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs are both available after the club appealed against the red card shown to the latter at Stamford Bridge, though Laurent Koscielny joins midfielders Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Ryo Miyaichi and Abou Diaby on the side-lines.

Olivier Giroud is favourite to open the scoring at 5.0 (4/1) with Bet 365, with Lukas Podolski a 7.0 (6/1) shot with the same firm.

The hosts are 1.6 (3/5) favourites to win the match with Betfred, with Swansea as highly priced as the 6.5 (11/2) on offer from a variety of firms. The draw is widely available at 4.33 (10/3).

Garry Monk’s side extended their winless run to eight games in all competitions with a 3-2 defeat to Everton on Saturday afternoon.

They now sit just four points above the relegation zone, having played two games more than eighteenth place Sunderland though victory would see them rise two places to thirteenth.

The South Wales side have just Kyle Bartley unavailable, while Michu could return to the starting line-up after making his comeback from injury as a substitute at Goodison Park at the weekend.

The Spaniard is 12.0 (11/1) with Bet 365 to get the first goal of the game, just behind Wilfried Bony, who is an 11.0 (10/1) chance with a number of bookmakers.

Arsenal won by two goals to one when the sides met at the Liberty Stadium back in November, stretching their unbeaten run against the Swans to four matches.

Swansea have kept just seven clean sheets in the league this season, with only two of those coming on the road, while of Arsenal’s last ten home league games, they have kept their opposition at bay on eight occasions.

With this in mind, you may be tempted to back the home win to nil at 2.75 (7/4) with Sky Bet.
