Saturday afternoons match at the Emirates Stadium sees Arsenal face Hull City for the first time since their extra-time victory over them in last season’s FA Cup final.

The Gunners lost to league leaders Chelsea last time out – a result that saw them fall to nine points off top spot seven games in, though victory here could see them move back into the top four if other results go their way.

Club captain Mikel Arteta is expected to return from a calf problem though Calum Chambers is suspended and Laurent Koscielny has been ruled out with an Achilles injury so Nacho Monreal is ready to deputise.

Mathieu Debuchy, Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil are all long term absentees, while Theo Walcott is not quite ready to return from a knee problem.

Danny Welbeck is favourite to open the scoring at 5.0 (4/1) with a variety of firms, with Alexis Sanchez a 5.5 (9/2) chance with Coral.

Arsene Wenger’s men are odds on to take all three points at 1.44 (4/9) with most bookmakers, with Hull as highly priced as the 9.0 (8/1) on offer from Betfred. The draw is a 5.25 (17/4) chance with Bet 365.

Steve Bruce’s side are in eleventh place with nine points, just one behind their opponents, though their victory over Crystal Palace was only their second domestic victory since that defeat at Wembley back in May.

Ahmed Elmohamody is available after recovering from the back injury that ruled him out of international duty with Egypt, while Mohamed Diame faces a late fitness test having played in Senegal’s midweek defeat to Tunisia.

Abel Hernandez is a 10.0 (9/1) shot to get the first goal of the game with Diame, who three in four league games for the club so far, a 21.0 (20/1) chance with Coral.

As well as their victory in the cup final, Arsenal won both league games against Hull last season without conceding and you can back that to happen this time around at 2.5 (6/4) with Bet Victor.

Alternatively, as there has been over 2.5 goals in all but one of the previous meetings between the sides, you may be tempted to take advantage of Bet Victor’s offer of 1.67 (4/6) for that outcome here.
