Saturday lunchtime’s game in the Premier League sees Arsenal host Chelsea, with both teams desperate for a victory that would take them a step closer to qualifying for next seasons Champions League.

The home side will be hoping to bounce back after their surprise defeat to relegation threatened Wigan Athletic last time out.

Arsene Wenger’s men are now just five points clear of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in fourth place, and have played a game more than the three sides chasing that coveted third spot.

They do however go in to this game as favourites, and are best priced 2.05 (21/10) with 888Sport.

They will have to do without Spansih midfielder Mikel Arteta, whose injury in Monday’s game has ruled him out for the rest of the season. Wales captain Aaron Ramsey is set to deputise, and is 7/0 (6/1) with Ladbrokes to get on the score sheet at any time.

Chelsea, who go in to this match fresh from their midweek victory over European Champions Barcelona, are 3.9 (29/10) for the win with Stan James.

With the second leg of their Champions League semi-final coming on Tuesday, striker Didier Drogba could well be rested, which would the onus on Fernando Torres to spearhead the attack, and the £50 million pound man is 8.5 (17/2) with Bet Victor to open the scoring.

The reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge back in October was one of the games of the season, with Arsenal coming from behind twice to eventually run out 5-3 winners.

In fact, no team has won more points after being behind in a game than the Gunners, registering six wins and one draw in seven of the games where they have been losing.

With this is mind, you might be tempted to back Roberto Di Matteo’s men to be leading at half time, with Arsenal winning the game at 29.0 (28/1) with Stan James.

Although the visitors need the points to give them a more realistic chance of getting into next seasons Champions League, this might be a game to far for them after their exploits of the last seven days.
