Arsenal keen on Hoffenheim teenager

OchsGerman media have reported today that Premier League side Arsenal have expressed interest in signing the highly-rated Germany teenager Philipp Ochs.

The talented Hoffenheim winger has emerged as a transfer target for Gunners with German media outlet Bild reporting that Arsene Wenger has set his sights on yet another teenage talent.

The 19-year-old Ochs is currently participating at the U19 European Championship and has come under the radar of the North London club due to a string of fine performances for his national team.

Germany winger scored a hat-trick against Portugal which has left Arsenal scouts impressed following the game.

Arsene Wenger has been immediately alerted over the talents of the German teenager, who fits in his transfer policy perfectly. The French tactician is renowned for his ability to scoop young talent and make them world class stars, although he has come under some criticism for not being aggressive enough in the market.

The increased competition in the Premier League has placed Arsenal at the betting odds of 7.00 (6/1) @Bet365 to lift the Premier League trophy next season. And while the fans are expecting to see some big-name signings in order to see their team challenge for major honours, Wenger is exploring an option to sign Hoffenheim’s rising star.

Philipp Ochs has made 12 Bundesliga appearances in the 2015-16 season, having made his debut for German side against Bayer Leverkusen last August.

The talented teenager is under contract with Hoffenheim until 2019 and Bild does not go into the specifics of the potential transfer.
