Andy CarrollLiverpool striker Andy Carroll admits he is open to staying at Boleyn Ground after his loan deal ends in the summer.

West Ham are prepared to pull all the stop to sign the player outright in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether they can reach an agreement with Liverpool.

The player himself says he would be perfectly happy to remain with the Hammers for the forseeable future.

“Obviously I don’t know what is happening so we will just have to wait and see,” the towering striker confessed.

“It has been great here and every minute has been fantastic. The lads have been great, the gaffer has been great and the fans are unbelievable.”

Asked whether he would like to remain at Boleyn Ground, Carroll replied: “We will have to wait and see. It is obviously a great club and I do not see why not.”

The 24-year-old is West Ham’s joint top scorer this term with Kevin Nolan, and he looks a great bet to finish the season as club’s top league goalscorer, at odds of 1.91 (10/11) offered at BetVictor.
