Arsenal and Wales star Aaron Ramsey is set for a fresh spell on the sidelines having picked up a hamstring injury, Arsene Wenger has revealed.
The Gunners kept their Champions League hopes alive with an impressive triumph over Bayern Munich, but the win came at a cost as their star midfielder suffered a hamstring problem.
Arsene Wenger went on to break the bad news, while additional tests will show how long the 24-year-old will be out.
“He’s very down, he told me that the hamstring is a tough one. He’s out yes,” Wenger said at a post-match conference.
This means that the highly rated midfielder is certain to miss the Premier League clash against Everton, where Arsenal are 1.44 (4/9) to emerge victorious.
Ramsey also helped Wales secure their first ever qualification to the European Championship finals, but his appearance at the Euro 2016 is not in doubt, although he could miss the November friendly against Netherlands.
