Dimitri PayetWest Ham star performer Dimitri Payet has stunned West Ham supporters by dropping a January transfer hint.

The French international attacking midfielder has refused to commit to his club in the latest interview for the French television programme Telefoot.

The 29-year-old admitted he might leave as soon as January after acknowledging his team have had a disappointingly frustrating start to the new Premier League season.

“Will I go in January? I am asking myself other questions right now, but I have closed the door to nothing”, Payet was quoted.

After the weekend’s draw at home with Stoke, the Hammers are now fourth-bottom and one point above the relegation zone.

Slaven Bilic is having a lot on his mind right now, but the Coratian tactician will have to deal with more than trying to turn his team’s fortunes around as he is faced with the prospect of losing his talisman during winter.

Following a successful season which saw them finish seventh in the Premier League, West Ham are enduring plenty of problems in the new campaign having registered mere three wins in the English top tier thus far.

Dimitri Payet, who extended his superb form from last season and from Euro 2016 has been one of the few bright sparks in the Londoners’ utterly disappointing start to the season, but the Frenchman’s growing frustration could result in him moving clubs during winter.

Payet has scored twice, assisted on five occasions and is expected to continue his form as West Ham prepare to face Tottenham after the international break.

The Irons are given the betting odds of 6.50 (11/2) @BetVictor to secure a surprise win over Mauricio Pochettino’s men on 19 November.

The French international signed a new five-and-a-half year deal worth £125,000 a week in January to extend his stay with West Ham, but the host of Europe’s top clubs have been alerted by his impressive performances with French champions Paris Saint-Germain believed to be leading the chase for Payet.

West Ham star has dismissed talks of a move to the Parc des Princes claiming that no clubs have approached him “for now” though.
