Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City wideman Leroy Sane.

According to The Guardian, the recently-crowned German champions are debating lodging a bid worth in the region of £70m. It is also believed that the winger, who joined from Schalke 04 in 2016, is keen on a return to Germany. With veteran wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery departing the Allianz Arena at the end of the season, Sane is reported to be considered as a potential replacement.

If the deal is completed, he would become Bayern’s third major signing of the summer following the prior arrivals of Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard from Atletico Madrid and Stuttgart.

Sane has enjoyed plenty of success since arriving at the Etihad Stadium three years ago. Making 133 appearances in all competitions, he has scored 39 goals and provided 45 assists. The 23-year-old has also added to his trophy cabinet having won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups.

His current contract with the Citizens is set to run until the summer of 2021.

Meanwhile, Bayern are set to conclude their season in the DFB Pokal final on Saturday as they come up against RB Leipzig. Niko Kovac’s men are available at a price of 1/2 with Paddy Power to win the game.
