La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly offered three players to French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain in attempt to land the highly-rated Italian midfielder Marco Verratti during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old creative midfielder has told his employers he wants to leave Paris. Verratti has been honest with PSG management revealing his desire to play alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

The player is also believed to have already held talks with the Catalans after the Coupe de France finals at the end of May.

On their own part, Barcelona are making it quite clear Marco Verratti is their top transfer target this summer.

The Catalans are desperate to land the diminutive playmaker and are prepared to let go of their three players in exchange for Marco Verratti.

According to reports from the Spanish media outlet Diario Gol, Barcelona have offered midfielders Rafinha, Arda Turan and Andre Gomes for the PSG star who is valued at €100 million.

New Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is believed to be planning a summer clear-out at Camp Nou this summer and believes the three aforementioned players could be used as a counterweight in Barcelona’s efforts to land the 24-year-old Italian international.

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly have different ideas and would like to see the Croatia international Ivan Rakitic be included in any potential deal for Marco Verratti.

Verratti has made 49 competitive appearances for club and country last season. The Italian scored three goals and recorded 7 assists along the way.
