It has been a while since la Liga giants Barcelona were last linked with a Scottish name and we certainly can’t remember any Scotland international being thrown into the rumour mill with the Catalan giants.

Nevertheless, the Daily Mail is suggesting in one of their latest transfer reports that the Camp Nou club is ready to pounce on Falkirk left-back Tony Gallacher.

The 17-year-old defender has caught the eye of the Spanish champions, who have been scouting the teenager over the past few weeks.

Callacher made five Scottish Championship appearances this season, but that was seemingly enough for the boy to earn the attention from one of world’s biggest clubs who will reportedly make an official move for the Falkirk starlet during the final days of the January transfer window.

Should the rumoured move to Barcelona go through, Tony Gallacher would go straight into the Barcelona B side where he would be further polished and prepared for a big Camp Nou break.

In addition to Barcelona, the talented defender has also alerted the host of Premier League sides with Manchester United, Stoke City and Everton also being linked with the Falkirk prospect.

Falkirk’s valuation of the in-demand defender has been set to £750,000.
