AC Milan keen on Stefan Savic

Stefan SavicAtletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic is a target for AC Milan, who are keen to bring the Montenegro international back to Serie A during summer according to various reports.

Stefan Savic has endured a difficult season at Atletico Madrid and is likely to be granted a move away from Vicente Calderon. Diego Simeone is reportedly unhappy with the player’s commitment and frequent injury problems which have marked his first year with Los Rojiblancos.

The 25-year-old Montenegro centre back was signed last summer and has so far made only 10 La Liga appearances for Atletico Madrid.

And according to reports from Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan have already expressed their interest in signing the former Fiorentina defender during the summer transfer window.

Savic’s agent Zarko Pelicic revealed that Atletico Madrid defender is flattered by Milan interest, but has refused to dwell on the matter.

Rossoneri are making big plans for the summer that will see the club change owners as Silvio Berelusconi has already put the club’s takeover in motion. A Chinese consortium is looking to buy around 70% of the club and a deal could be concluded this week.

Chinese investors are ready to splash a significant amount of money for new investments and Stefan Savic is believed to be topping the club’s wish list.

AC Milan are looking to bring long-term replacements for Christian Zapata and Alex with Stefan Savic being pinpointed as an ideal solution. The Montenegro defender has already played in Serie A and Rossoneri believe he could fit in instantly.

Rossoneri are currently preparing for the final match of the Serie A season which will see them lock horns with AS Roma in a highly anticipated event.
